The birth of a brand is never insignificant. It often reflects a journey, an experience or a personal battle. Asymétrio Lingerie is no exception to this rule. It's much more than just a brand of made-to-measure lingerie. It's the fruit of an experience, a deep need and a desire to bring about change in the industry.

A story of complexity and resilience
📍 2008 - The start of complexes
At the age of 11, Clémence, founder of Asymétrio, discovered that her breasts developed asymmetrically. It's a natural difference, but from adolescence onwards, as soon as she starts menstruating for the first time, it becomes a source of complexes. Finding the right bra is a challenge. Standardised lingerie imposes its rigid sizes, ignoring the particularities of each body.
📍 2014 - The diagnosis that changes everything
At the age of 17, Clémence was diagnosed with endometriosis, a disease that causes endobelly, a painful and unpredictable swelling of the abdomen. This new challenge makes it even harder to choose the right clothes and lingerie. Comfort becomes a permanent quest.
‘I'm very petite, but when I have endobelly attacks I feel like I've got a pregnant belly. It's an added complex and the anxieties that are created during adolescence.
📍 2019 - The revelation
At the age of 22, Clémence noticed that her asymmetrical breasts were becoming more pronounced. So she did an autopalpation and felt a lump. She decided to make an appointment with her doctor, who asked her to have a breast ultrasound. The diagnosis revealed a benign nodule in her left breast. Although it wasn't serious, she needed to have it checked every year, and if it got any bigger, she'd have to have an operation. The nodule was located on the far left of the breast, in the armpits. The doctor warned her not to use underwires, which compress the breasts and can make the situation worse. The position of the underwire in relation to your left breast compresses and stimulates the hormonal area.
With a larger left breast (D cup) than the right (C cup), Clémence had no choice but to choose a bra with a C cup. This realisation was a turning point. Following this appointment, she removed all the underwires from her bras and decided to choose triangle bras without underwires. The nodule remained for 2 years.

✔️ Understands asymmetry
✔️ Adapts to different body shapes
✔️ avoids confidence-destroying standardisation
And Asymétrio was born. 💖

Clémence didn't create a brand to follow a trend. She founded Asymétrio to meet a need that she knows intimately.
Why am I telling you all this? Because behind every brand is a story. And behind each product, a desire to make a real difference. Asymétrio isn't just about made-to-measure lingerie. It's a response to real needs.
The importance of the right lingerie
Wearing an ill-fitting bra is not just an aesthetic problem. It's a factor in :
Poor posture
Back pain
Muscle tension
Reduced self-confidence
Asymetrio: When personal history becomes a revolution in lingerie. 80% of women wear the wrong bra. Breast asymmetry affects the majority of women, even if it is often downplayed. Asymétrio takes the mystery out of these differences by incorporating them into its designs. All women are asymmetrical by between 0.4 and 1 cm. For an asymmetrical bra with a 1 cup difference, you need 2.5cm. There's only 1.5cm separating us from a suitable bra.
